The fuel cost calculator estimates how much a trip will cost in petrol or diesel based on distance, vehicle efficiency, and current fuel price.
How to use

- Enter your vehicle’s MPG, km/L, or L/100km.
- Enter fuel price per liter.
Formula
Distance and efficiency are normalized to liters consumed, then multiplied by price per liter.
Worked examples
Example: 250 miles at 28 MPG with fuel at $1.15/L → convert gallons to liters and multiply by price for total trip cost.
Tips
- Highway MPG is often better than city MPG — use a realistic blend.
